Finally, I will apply for the University of Cambridge! How dare I am!!!

First of all, I appreciate my boyfriend, J, to proofread my proposal & Online-application on Christmas day. Especially, it is tough for him (yes, every proofreader!) to correct the proposal of mine because of dealing with the specific thing. He did it for two hours and looked exhausted. Proofreading the On-line essay was the same as the proposal, which was tough...Consequently, they have been corrected in a natural manner in English. Thanks, J!

Second, two profs' letters of recommendation may be...I don't know. Dr D wrote it quickly. How about content...? He did not ask me anything I want him to write or evaluation points that Dr Y did. I know he is very kind but sometimes he is like a dog of Dr D. Dr D, if you admire me in the letter, I never forget your kindness and cooperation! I remember that he marked the box that says, "OK, if the letter is unclosed." I know he praised me devoting to writing my B paper. I hope he described me very well. Whereas, Dr Y...in Jun when we talked, his responses about my application to Cambridge were fabulous but when I asked him in reality in November, he suggested "please write yourself in Japanese and I will check it." Ah, well, I supposed that he had second thought. However, I understand. When I applyed for CSU, he filled out about me very well. Yet I have not been along with his expectation. Therefore, he may be careful to write a reference at this time.

Transcripts, copies of the Diplomas, and CV are OK. J will be correcting my English on the CV because a company I have asked to do is not professional regarding its English skills. The company refused to proofread the Online application that is equivalent to an essay. An essay can be included for proofreading; however, the staff emailed me and told me that my online essay is one that is towards the specific university so cannot be included in paying 20,000 yen. I shoud pay for more 3,000 yen. Oh, it is like a money ghost!!!

I will be able to send the application by pose on the first week in Febrary. Good luck and hope to be accepted!

At the same time, I try to get 7.0 in IELTS. In particular, I am supposed to increase the scores in Reading and Listening sections. Fortunately, the place I can take the exam is only 30-40 minutes distance from here!!!

God bless me in applying...

In reading of "How to beat Dyslexia," I found that it might be possible for me to contribute to somewhat research at the university and Education in Japan which has governmental scholarships.

The points are:
1)Japanese language that consists of 1:1 letter-sound corespondences and contrasts with English could provide some solutions by their differences.

2)If research finds effective methods to improve the dyslexic problem, the findings could also contribute to not only children with dyslexic syndrome in special Education, but also children and adults who want to master English in normal Education in Japan.

After when I saw Dr Y who encouraged me and promised to support me in terms of applying for the rout of PhD with Dr G, I started thinking of strategies how to make an effective and impressive proposal along with his advice. He suggested to me:

1) Create a detailed methodology for practicable experiment that researchers can carry out it immediately

- Read her papers deeply and obtain the key concept that she wants to do through her life as a researcher

- Put it in the proposal with my own ideas

2) Powerful references

I did not expect completely Dr Y's positive responses, I was laughing his remarks "You can do it!" with his pure face expressions when he told to me.

Strangely enough, Dr W in animal psychology has a tie with University of Cambridge. In addition, Dr Y knew a prof who had been a friend of Dr G and had rarely recognized Dr Y despite the negative professor to others.

What's more, colleague N recommended me to take a governmental scholarship that he already won. If a candidate could be selected at K university, the person might be possible to win it in the selection of a Japanese government.

Do you think these three things' linkage by chance? My first and core motivation to research music therapy is the relationship between language and rhythm. All the time I need to do it, the gates or doors have been open for me. If I had not met Dr Y by attending K university in the previous year without my mistakes? I would not definitely have studied abroad in the USA. I could not get a Rotary Foundation scholarship without Dr Y's letter of recommendation. In addition, it was rare that a winner returned it and i received it only one day after the announcement of the selection...

"Get to the point" which is my resolution in 2008. I will address one of the most importances of Dr G and University of Cambridge for applying.

He was really perfect when explaining this theory with his understandable examples. The person having enough knowledge tends to explain a beginner in an easy way. I suppose that Dr T did not have complete knowledge due to his music major. The excellent/smart person shows his/her limitation in regard to the knowledge if asked. Fr yuz, Dr Wal, and R, said "I did not know this but..." I learned this important thing from Fr Yuz. He really educated me well.

By R's explanation, I was convinced about this theory and it underlies language rhythm. The two coupled oscillator can explain each unique speech rhythm such as English, French, and Japanese. Vowel and consonant are variables for the formulae. This is the theoretical framework for the training of illiteracy.

I feel that God would plan me on applying for working with Dr Go. I started thinking of UC because Dr T disturbed my desires of research. I went to R because Dr T was not willing to explain me. I contacted R because Dog emailed me about accompaniment. First of all, if Dog had not sent the email, I would have hesitated to contact R. If I did not have his explanation, the theoretical framework would be established weekly or little in my proposal to UK, which will be the crucial fault in research.

Nobody wrote "the theoretical framework" which showed profs did not ask because they did not realize the importance until my paper!!! Dr Eg who was M's advisor found no theoretical framework in a good thesis from a student and "it is not enough." I was really lucky to be with Ma's thesis. My thesis construction modeled the thesis of Ma.
If I had not met her thesis, the possibility that I will be accepted would have absolutely 100%. Never happens.

Everything is going well toward my research in music therapy. Actually, I will need to change my major from music therapy to education. However, it is better to work in Japan and another place. Clearly education is more trustworthy and applicable to children.

Until next written/oral exams, I will collect support papers and create a fantastic, excellent, awesome, and beautiful proposal.

There were 10 questions from Dr T and 1 question from Dr D. As the comment from Dr T, I wrote 3 pages of the RSMM in cognitive domain part!!! My prediction bingos about Cognitive domain! However, other 9 questions were running of time so I could not finish after the seventh question. I created 4 pages for Dr T and 1.5 for Dr D. At least I wanted to write 2 pages for Dr D...Should I take again in the Fall? Oh my... However, I imporved writing before because of comleting 6 pages for 3 hours (last time, 5 pages for 4 houses). My goal at this time was to write 1 pages per 30 minutes so actually I achieved my purpose. But one question was addedd from Dr T although there was no attention to write answeres in B section, saying "minimam 1/2 page." I need to pass written/oral exams in order to graduate my university and get a master degree! I think it is enough to write 1 page answer per 30 minutes because of being an international student.

Dr D seemed to want to recommend to take an oral exam in the Fall because I would like to go an internship from January, 2009. That was what i was thinking but the later graduation was not gool when finding a job for my future. I know that my English skills are not enough now so I am trying to improve it, especially in the part of written English!

If I talked to Dr D about my dream that I apply for University of Cambridge, how he would show his responses? Surprising, being fed up, or laughing could be appearing? I do not know but I trust him treating me in a kind manner whatever he hear. Dr T is uncommunicative and one-sided so I completely gave up to build a relationship. He is great as a scholar but I do not need a mean person as my supervisor if he is a great inovator and having big power in the world. I will be gone to the UK. Anyway, Dr D continued showing his consideration recently, probably Y-san talked to him about my evaluation to him;-)He is the person understanding the human heart breaking. Perhaps, Dr T is the same but his position limites him in a big part;at least i believe it.

For my interest from research of speech rhythm, I will receive explanation about the coupled oscillator model from Rick! I like and trust Rick! When asking Dr T about this model,- yes, I had already predicted though, he answered me that I did not have mathematical backgroud so it was impossible for you to understand them. I know but an advoisor should explain me the core idea of my paper, rhythmic entrainment? He could not explain it in an understanadble way because he is not speciallist in math and nuero! At least, i translated it;-)

I am looking forward to seeing Rich since August 2007. Actually i passed by him on campus just a couple of days ago when I received an email from Doug. If I did not have the issue, I will answer Doug directly because he was one of my favorite person at St. J. But at this time, i should ask Rick about accompanyment although I expect his answer.

Everything is heading for applying for UC. If I had got the internship position in NY, i could not prepare the application and proposal to UC. If I had good written skills in English and passed in March, I definitely would graduate in Summer, which means I have less benefit when staying here. Everything is going well if I could make an offer from UC!

I have spent for 3 years to finish my study in the US!...However, the most important thing is that I can graduate or not. I need to pass the written/oral exams by Dr T and D of course... Dr T is the person who likes to make things more complicated. So I shall finish off my 3-years-study in this summer. I am being already fed up with him who is one-way in conversations. Therefore, I want to leave here as much as I can by passing exams. Yet, the papers I need to review for exams are hard to compile due to an amount of the numbers, uninteresiting ones, and my notes' immaturity in the first semester when coming here. I don't ask to have notes from L because it seems to be dependent. The one of reasons that I am concern about exams is that Dr T said that there should be 3 pages for the first question of R-SMM in affective domain, meaning that it is necessary for me to write 6 or 7 pages for Dr T and at least 3 pages for Dr D, total of 10 pages during 4 hours! On average, 2.5 pages during an hour should be written. I am an international student...
Of course, I will be able to realize this fact to show my proficiencies to Dr T and D for my future plan - to go to Cambridge!
When I go research Reading difficulties with rhythmic approaches, I will definitely put the memories about Dr T aside and keep the experience away from my career by mixing my previous experiences about behavioral analysis.
As Mr Matsushita Kohnosuke mentioned, I must finish off my study in the master degree of music therapy. If I fail to finish it off, everything is nothing and equals never done or started. How scared!
Please just follow your tasks appropriately. I know you have potential to improve more!

My plan is to achieve the IELTS criteria, make proposal in this autumn, apply for a scholarship...I know that this is one of my most challenges in my life. There are lots of obstacles to overcome this aim. However, I believe that this choice could lead to better or best way for my future profession. Anyway, I shall pass written/oral exams that include BORED contents. I think that my paper would be Okay to reach graduation.
